Last week, our team member Marie presented at the 23rd International Conference on Informatics, Management, and Technology in Healthcare (ICIMTH 2025), held in Athens, Greece.
ICIMTH is one of the leading global conferences in biomedical and health informatics, bringing together researchers from around the world to explore innovations ranging from clinical AI and EHRs to sensors, public health systems, and healthcare management. This year’s theme focused on global healthcare transformation through AI and informatics.
Marie shared her research on using natural language processing to extract genomic information from the scientific literature. Her work compared traditional NLP techniques with transformer-based models like BioBERT and large language models such as GPT- 4o to support faster, reliable and automated text mining and insight generation in oncology research.
