Thibault Niederhauser, Data Scientist
Thibault holds an M.Sc. in Robotics and Computational Neurosciences from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). His degree included an exchange year at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and a visiting researcher position at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver.
Thibault has contributed to various academic projects exploring how AI and Machine Learning can be used to advance innovation in life sciences and neuroscience. After graduation, Thibault worked for INAIT, a Swiss start-up, where he investigated how principles from biology and neuroscience can enhance the development and performance of AI models.
In November, Thibault joined the Chair of Medical Knowledge and Decision Support at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) as a Data Scientist. He is investigating how Artificial Intelligence and Language Models improve decision-making in oncology.
Fun fact: I am in love with Scandinavia and enjoy snowy, cold weather. I’ve learned Swedish and often travel to Sweden and Norway in the heart of winter—just when the locals are escaping to warmer places like Spain.
